The 2021 Cabernet Franc has a beautiful dark purple core. Mountain Cabernet Franc is different, which is evident on the nose. Blackcurrants and freshly roasted coffee abound from the glass. Complex spices, particularly peppercorn and clove are matched with pomegranate and eucalyptus.  This is a serious palate, big viscosity leading to firm chalky tannins. Flavors on the palate are of blackcurrants and cocoa nibs. The chalky tannins are matched by this varietals natural ability to produce lively acid. This is a dense chewy Cabernet Franc that will age nicely over the next 10-11 years (2031-2032).
